My mom has these small pieces of soft skin on her neck and it seems like its growing everyday. It looks harmless but it isn’t pleasant in the eye especially when she wears blouse with low neckline. In science, those small pieces of soft skin are generally known as Skin Tags or Acrochordons. These tags commonly occur on the face, neck, eyelids and even under your breasts.
Skin tags are common among people and are either acquired through heredity or through different bodily conditions like increased in weight, pregnancy and many others. My mother is obviously overweight, so I guess I already knew the main cause of her skin tags.
My mom’s skin tags are still there until now. My little cousins are making fun of it and they touch it thinking my mom would get hurt. We wanted to have it removed but there is this common misconception that removing a skin tag will cause more tags to grow. In reality, there is no scientific evidence about it but undergoing a skin tag removal will surely help solve the problem.
According to medical experts, skin tags can be removed through over the counter skin tag removal creams that helps remove it so easily. Buy those creams that are proven to be safe and effective. It can also be removed using natural home remedies like apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, baking soda and many others. I’ve heard many have tried using a dental floss and scissors to remove it but to avoid any infection; I guess I need to see a dermatologist first before doing so.
I hope I can convince my mom to have her skin tags removed. If all those tags are removed, I’m sure she can now wear blouses with low necklines. I am sure she will surely love the result.
