Bookbinding in Summer

Summer time is where most children in the Philippines don’t have anything to do because they are free from school. That is why, it is good to let them engage in activities that will make their summer break more productive.

This April, we planned to have a book binding activity for the kids in our neighborhood. Through this, the kids will not just focus on playing computers but they will be able to learn a new skill. Bookbinding is a fun activity, but I guess we need to prepare the proper materials to make it easier and fun for the kids. We will have to prepare papers, glue, l clamp, scissors and more. If all things are prepared on time, I’m sure bookbinding will surely be exciting for the kids as they can complete their tasks on time.

Flowers in Our Yard

My mom planted different flowering plants in our yard and she waters in everyday. Now that it is summer time, she made it sure that she won’t miss watering her plants because it easily dries up. Her hard work paid off when all of her plants bloomed and flowers came out a week ago. It was such a lovely sight. Mom might add outdoor fountains for your yard once her garden is fully developed.

Gaze at the Star

Stop – even just for a moment. Take a good look at the world around you. Try to appreciate the beauty of nature, the fleeting sunset and the mystery of a distant star. The busyness of life often snatched us from this opportunity to appreciate the good things that God has given us.

Take a break out of that busy schedule of yours. Tonight, you can take your loved one or your family outside the house and gaze upon the stars. You might bring along your binoculars, mats and some snacks too. You will surely begin to realize that it is indeed a good thing to ponder on such tiny things and appreciate the beauty of God’s wonderful creation.
